A Leedsware Classic Creamware English plate with a pierced border. This piece is very finely potted and it is delicately pierced with a design including ribbons, swags and features scalloped edging. Exact age is unknown, possibly late 18th century. Mark impressed to base.
Leedsware is a type of english earthenware, celebrated for its creamy glaze and intricate, lace-like pierced cutwork. Originally produced by Leeds Pottery (Hartley Greens & Co) starting around 1770.
